This is the soundtrack for the excellent Japanese cyberpunk film, Electric Dragon 80000V. The main character is Dragon Eye Morrison, a punk rocker who can read the minds of lizards and control electricity. He fights another guy named Thunderbolt Buddha, who is made partially of metal. It's awesome. The movie was directed by Sogo Ishii, a filmmaker ties to the Japanese punk rock scene. Dragon Eye Morrison is played by Tadanobu Asano, also know as Kakihara from Ichi The Killer.
The music on this soundtrack was made by the band Mach 1.67, which includes the director Sogo Ishii AND Tabanobu Asano! How cool is that? The 17 tracks are a mix between punk, industrial, ambient, and noise. But it's not an uncomfortable listening experience at all: most of the songs have a nice mid-paced groove to them, and the distortion is very soft and white-noise-y. This is the kind of industrial/punk/noise fusion the whole family can enjoy. Check it out and torrent the movie while you're at it.

Nice. Have you seen Ishii's Burst City and is it any good? I got excited when the DVD came out but I don't know if I want to spend $30.
I haven't seen burst city... 30$ is ridiculous, get it on piratebay
