Instrumental trio from Australia with a guitar/drums/violin line-up. The band gets around; the drummer and guitarist have backed Cat Power up on some of her records, and the drummer is currently in her band. This is their debut, back when they were at their noisiest and rockingist. The violinist, Warren Ellis, attached guitar pick-ups to his instrument with a rubber band to get a distorted tone. Raucous debut from a group that has put out tons of great albums.
