Penance Soiree
For those of you who may need some background on this band, The Icarus Line was formed by Aaron North in the 1990's. He is currently playing guitar with Nine Inch Nails. However badass you think Nine Inch Nails were/are, they are nothing compared to the Icarus Line. Take the video for "Feed a Cat to Your Cobra" for example:
Did you watch that? If you didn't, go back and watch it. Yeah, they played at the Hard Rock Cafe. Yeah, that was Aaron North breaking a memorabilia case with Stevie Ray Vaughn's guitar inside, plugging it in, and rocking with it.
If you've heard of buddyhead.com, that can also be attributed to this band. They stole Fred Durst's dumb red hat, sold it on ebay, and donated the money to rape victims. This band eats heroin for lunch and shits feedback. Notable tracks on Penance Soiree include "Up Against The Wall Motherfuckers," "On The Lash," "Spike Island," and "Party The Baby Off."
Unfortunately, after North left the band, they tried to release a new album full of acoustic guitars and vaginas. Oh well, all good things come to an end.

i didnt know who these guys were when i bought the record. one of those cds that stared me in the face everytime i went to my local recordstore. im glad i finally got around to buying it. kinda wish i did so sooner.

Yeah it was a toss up between posting this and Mono, although I knew this album better and I was posting a video from Mono, but I agree, that album is great as well. It's too bad the new album isn't nearly as good...
I am going to go out on a long, confident limb and say this will one day be viewed as a classic album. At the time was a band at a towering peak not even checking out everyone below. Fuckin masterpiece.

Alright, today it seems like my mom's computer has a virus attack... so I just try to find a way to fix it, but i can't, why? BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE PROGRAM IS INFECTED. I found it hard to believe that everything could be infected and thought it was just an antivirus plot for us to buy something. We don't have really have an antivirus (Just the standard free scan only that come installed every computer) but a thing that keeps popping up is antivirus live or something along the lines of that. Also, the webpage porno.com or .org or something like keeps popping up. I ran it in safe mode but guess what? It isn't safe, we tried installing an antivirus but after it installed, we couldn't use it, it had been affected as well. Before we ran a sweep with spy sweeper and only cookies showed up. Malware bytes antimalware couldn't find anything either? Another thing to note, you know that one spyware/malware that tries to perform a fake virus scan in your web browser and tries to get you to buy it? That's been popping up too.
