Linda Perhacs - Parallelograms (1970) 5/05/2008

Another psychedelic era singer's only effort, although Perhacs has resurfaced to sing with Devendra Banhart, and is reportedly working on new stuff. Still a pretty interesting mix of delicate, Joni Mitchell-esque folk stuff along with an unsettling dark atmosphere. "Chimachum Rain," "Hey, Who Really Cares" and the title track are highlights.

Good choice. This is a true classic. Every song is a highlight actually. "Chimacum Rain" is also used by Prefuse 73 on his Surrounded By Silence album. "Sandy Toes" is tops!!

Wow - I was skeptical during the download, but the first track totally sunk me....

What the hell is this doing on a blog with Bad Brains, Laibach and High Rise? I mean, really? OK, you've got me very curious.
