Laibach's take on Bach's mysterious Kunst der Fuge composition, which doesn't specify the instruments with which it is meant to be performed (it is thought to be some sort of theoretical exercise prepared by the genius in moments of madness), recorded live before an audience in 2006. At times it sounds a lot like the wacko electronic renditions of Beethoven in A Clockwork Orange, but with a little more Moog, a little more totalitarian edge, a little more usage of atmospheric effects (wind, rain, crumbling paper), drones, a little more Autechre vibe. Another reason why it's not fair to dismiss these aging provocateurs as self-parodies in 2008; Laibach remain, if not exactly relevant, molodtsy.
